Xinge You is a full professor and vice dean in the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2004. His research areas include wavelets analysis and its applications, pattern recognition, signal & image processing, computer vision and machine learning, with specific interests in non-separable wavelets design & applications, feature extraction and representations, biomedical image segmentation, visual tracking and texture representation & analysis.
Dr. You is a senior member of the IEEE society, co-chair of technical committee on pattern recognition of the IEEE SMC society, and associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. He is also the director of the national anti-counterfeit engineering research center. He holds more than 30 patents and has submitted 10 more. Dr. You is/was the supervisory committee chair of 15 Ph.D. and 75 Master students, and he is also the author of more than 100 refereed prestigious publications (1 book chapter, 50 journal papers and 70 conference proceedings), including T-PAMI, T-IP, T-NNLS, T-CYB, T-CSVT, CVPR, ICIP, IJCNN and ICPR.
Dr. You is/was a guest editor of several special issues, an editor of four interna-tional journals, including IEEE Trans. on Cybernetics (T-CYB), Neurocomputing (Elsevier), International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (IJPRAI) and International Journal of Wavelets, Multi-resolution and Information Processing (IJWMIP). He has chaired for conferences, special sessions, invited sessions, workshops, and panels for 10+ times.
